3. Share your profile
We’ve been testing what actions have the biggest impact on MintStars creators getting their fans on board, and here’s what we’ve found!
- [ ] Add your link to your bio. Fans will usually go to the first link they see on your profile - creators with their MintStars link directly in their social media bio have gained the most subscribers.
- Putting it at the top of your linktree, and deleting any platforms you’re no longer using from your linktree, also helps.
- The link to your profile is app.mintstars.com/yourusername.
- [ ] Talk to your fans directly about why you want them to join MintStars! Fans get most excited when they feel you’re talking to them.
- [ ] Make a video announcing why you’re joining MintStars.
- [ ] Tell them about it on a livestream/cam show.
- [ ] DM or email your fans and ask them to switch their subscription over to MintStars - tell them you’ll keep more of the money they send you this way.
- [ ] Be consistent. Fans may not join a new platform the first time they hear about it - some need to hear about it 3-5 times before they’re ready to try it.

3.4 How to message to fans
We’ve done a little research on what resonates with fans, and here’s what we’ve found!
Do emphasize the following benefits:
- Low censorship
- “MintStars is where you can find all my content that’s not allowed on other platforms!”
- Low fees
- “When you send to me on MintStars, I keep 100%.”
- Earn money from collecting content
- “On MintStars, you can earn money from supporting me - collect and resell my limited edition content, and I’ll earn a cut of every sale.”
- Privacy
- “MintStars is private and secure - it won’t show up on your bank statement.”
Unless you’re a creator with many crypto fans, don’t focus on the following:
- NFTs
- Many fans associate this term with scammy cartoon apes. Instead emphasize “limited edition,” “resellable,” or “collectible.”
- Crypto
- Marketing the platform as a crypto platform can be intimidating to some fans or make them worry about scams. Instead emphasize low fees, low censorship, and privacy.
- If you need to explain how payments work, emphasize that fans can pay with a debit card, and we use US Dollar Coin (USDC), which is 100% backed up by real U.S. dollars - so it won’t change in value.
